A remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, offering an updated version of the beloved 1998 game. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time features two different takes on Link: one as a child and the other as an adult. The time-spanning adventure puts players in both roles, as the hero takes on the challenge of protecting Hyrule from Ganondorf as a young boy before taking up the Master Sword as an adult.
The remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is positioned as Switch 2's last major release for 2026. The company seems to be pulling out all the stops to promote the game, with a Zelda-themed Switch 2 system, as well as a Pro Controller. Ocarina of Time amiibo are on the way, with designs based on the younger versions of Link and Zelda. Those figures were announced for 2027, but do not have a confirmed release date at this time.
