The Blood of Dawnwalker was released on September 3, and despite being younger than a week old, developer Rebel Wolves is already moving ahead with a sequel. Given that some game sequels take decades to make or that sometimes desired sequels never come, many may be surprised to hear that The Blood of Dawnwalker team is already moving on (if at a small scale now, to support the main release).
Then again, it makes sense looking at the success of the new vampire game. Surprisingly, it appears to be one of those rare games where general critical consensus lines up with popular opinion. On Metacritic, Blood of Dawnwalker's reviews give it a generally favorable 83 Metascore among 63 critics, and it has a 8.2 user score among nearly 600 games. That's impressive and seemingly assisted sales too, with Blood of Dawnwalker crossing 1 million copies sold within the first weekend of its release. As such, continuing on is clearly the right choice—although it was always Rebel Wolves' intent.
The Blood of Dawnwalker has a ton of routes you can take, which means there are plenty of endings to experience.
