Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force GX Is Already Under Fire Over Its Use Of AI

Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force GX was announced at yesterday's Nintendo Direct. Despite the name, this game is actually a remake of 2008's Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag Force 3, saving it from being left behind on the PSP. This will also mark the first time it's getting a North American release, making this a huge announcement for longtime fans.

However, that excitement has now been somewhat tempered by the reveal of an AI disclaimer on the game's Steam page. As per the disclaimer, Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag Force used generative AI in its translation process, with certain languages translated through AI and only proofread by human translators.

"AI was utilized to help improve translation efficiency and quality," the disclaimer reads. "However, all final translations are reviewed and edited by the development team before being implemented. All translated text is reviewed by human editors to ensure it is accurate, appropriate, and of high quality."
