Dungeons and Dragons has officially just dropped three new playable subclasses that players can use entirely for free in their games, and they’re exciting character options that come alongside five free species to test out. All of this comes a few days after the release of the free new Duskling species in D&D, which players can pick up right now and use in adventures. A lot of free options have been made available to players recently with the introduction of the monthly drop system on D&D Beyond, but that doesn’t stop Wizards of the Coast from handing out other freebies.
Ahead of the release of new official sourcebooks, like the upcoming Arcana Unleashed expansion, the TTRPG usually playtests some of its materials. Now, a new playtest on D&D Beyond’s Unearthed Arcana has gone live, bringing forth three new playable subclasses that you can use entirely for free. It’s worth noting that these character options are still a work in progress and don’t necessarily represent the final version, but they are fully playable from level 1-20.
As seen in the playtest material, the new free subclasses in D&D are: Freedom Domain (Cleric), Circle of Spores (Druid), and Faerzress Sorcery (Sorcerer)....
