Pokemon GO announces plans to bring back the Wild Area event for 2026, confirming all the dates and details that players need to know, including special variants and an exclusive debut. Even with 2026 slowly approaching the end of the year, Pokemon GO has plenty of events and activities left for players to look forward to.

It's an exciting time to be a Pokemon GO player as the mobile title enters the final season of 2026. Twilight Trails is the latest season in Pokemon GO, having started on September 8 and running for 3 months. Scopely has a lot planned over the next few months, with new Community Days, limited-time events, and even some Pokemon making their in-game debuts. Alongside Maschiff, and its evolved form of Mabosstiff, Pokemon GO will also be adding Mega Staraptor and Mega Chandelure, as well as Dynamax versions of Rhyhorn, Sneasel, Sizzlipede, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. Next up, the Wild Area is also making its return in 2026 as well.
