The Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) version of Star Fox Adventures has a widescreen display option for players to utilize on their Switch 2 console. Star Fox Adventures is the 11th game added to the GameCube app since the Switch 2's launch in June 2025.
Originally released in September 2002, Star Fox Adventures is the combined result of a canceled sequel to Star Fox 64.and a scrapped RPG called Dinosaur Planet. Along with traditional rail-shooter segments in the Arwing, Star Fox Adventures also has 3D action-adventure segments that see Fox McCloud and other characters fight enemy forces on foot. Star Fox Adventures was also the only title that Rare published on the GameCube, as the studio was acquired by Microsoft shortly after the game's launch.
