GameStop has changed quite a bit over the years, but perhaps nowhere has that been more "era-ending" than with the GameStop Pro membership. The shift away from physical games has led to hundreds of GameStop store closures, while the company has also explored ways to expand beyond the traditional video game retailer model. Even with all of those changes, some parts of GameStop have remained familiar to longtime customers.
One of the biggest examples has been GameStop Pro, which has continued to offer several perks for customers willing to pay for the annual membership. Pro members can get extra trade-in value, exclusive discounts, free shipping, extended returns, and other benefits throughout the year. The program has also given GameStop customers another reason to keep coming back to the store (especially those who buy or trade games regularly), but one of its more recognizable perks is now going away.
