I’m a huge fan of FromSoftware’s games. I’ve beaten every one of them, some multiple times, and the PC modding scene has given me new reasons to return, and yes that includes King’s Field. The Seamless Co-op mods are among my favorites because they let friends keep playing together after someone dies or a boss goes down. There’s a mod for Dark Souls III, Dark Souls: Remastered, Elden Ring, Elden Ring Nightreign, and finally Dark Souls II has one, too. Which has been in development for a while now.
The mod is available, its creator, Yui, says it’s still in alpha and players should expect bugs. Even so, if you have a friend/s who’s been asking you to play Dark Souls II with them, this could be a great way to do it. You can explore together without the usual death or boss victory ending your session.
