007 First Light on Nintendo Switch 2 Delayed to 2027

IO Interactive today revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light will no longer release in 2026.

007 First Light made quite the splash when it launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC back in May. The game's original take on James Bond was not only positively received by critics, but also by fans. As of August 20, 2026, the game had sold over 4 million copies, making it one of the year's fastest selling games. It's a remarkable achievement for a series that hadn't seen a new game release in more than a decade.

However, all of those sales came from the three mentioned platforms. Missing-in-action is the fourth platform. IO Interactive had already confirmed that 007 First Light on Nintendo Switch 2 would not launch day-and-date with the other versions, but sometime later in 2026. Today, we now know it won't launch in 2026 at all.

IO Interactive revealed on X, formerly Twitter, that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will now launch in March 2027. No specific reason was given for the long delay other than to deliver the 'quality of experience players expect.'...
