After the good news about Destiny 2 officially coming back with vaulted content returning to the game, a new chapter unfolds for Bungie, ending a long era that started in 1996. After Sony formally acquired the legendary studio, the company has gone through several issues, from the poor management of Destiny 2 to its cancelation and resurrection, all while Marathon launched to underwhelming numbers and still struggles to keep its players. Bungie has a lot of trust to earn back, but it's now making the puzzling decision of shutting down its store.

The current plans Bungie has for Destiny 2 and Marathon seem quite promising, but many fans remain cautiously optimistic at best because the studio has lost a lot of its hard-earned trust over recent years. The new leadership is aware, it seems, as Bungie Studio Head Poria Torkan and Head of Product and General Manager of Marathon Josh Deane stated that the goal is not to make promises and show roadmaps, but to give players what they want and show as much with facts.
