CONTROL Resonant Launch Trailer Brings a Paranatural New York Groove

A week from today, CONTROL Resonant arrives. But today, Remedy Entertainment shared a launch trailer for the much-anticipated sequel to CONTROL. Instead of a shooter, the sequel is an action game. It leaves behind the Federal Bureau of Control for the streets of Manhattan, as a cosmic calamity breaks loose.

Check out that paranatural goodness in the trailer below.

In addition to a new location, the game also features a new protagonist. Instead of Jesse Faden, players take on the role of her brother, Dylan. That said, the game is still dripping in style. The trailer showcases that well. It sets the action to “My Favourite Game” by Swedish band The Cardigans. Interestingly, that track previously appeared in the game Gran Turismo 2. 

And while Dylan is not driving through the city, he is rampaging through it. CONTROL Resonant shifts to melee combat, unusual for a Remedy game. But with this being Remedy, the combat isn’t your standard melee combat either....
