Next month celebrates the sixth anniversary of the PlayStation 5, and although it still feels as though it is in its infancy, talk has already turned to what comes next. Whilst we can safely assume that the PlayStation 6 will be the next console on the horizon for Sony, we do not yet have an official release date, and with the complications that the PS5's launch ran into, it is understandable that some users feel as though all of this is pretty premature.
Launched back in November 2020, the PlayStation 5 arrived during the COVID-19 pandemic, and whilst this would have been the perfect time to dedicate some spare time to gaming, it was made almost impossible thanks to stock shortages, and, of course, scalpers. As such, many users did not get their hands on a PS5 until at least a year following its launch, but then, they found themselves running into another issue: a lack of exclusives.
