Metro Redux, the post-apocalyptic FPS that has 4.6 out of 5 stars on PS4, has announced a next-gen update that will bring it to PlayStation 5 with several new improvements. Metro Redux is a remastered bundle of the first two installments, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. So, PlayStation 5 is essentially getting two solid FPS games with great user reviews.

The new release marks a new milestone for the Metro franchise. Developer 4A Games recently said, "We have officially sold 50 million copies of Metro games across the globe." The current next-gen upgrade, therefore, serves as a thank-you note to the fans who helped drive the game's success, and existing owners will receive it for free.
