Fields of Mistria, a new farm-sim RPG from Chicago-based indie developers NPC Studio, is proving a runaway hit on Steam. Released on August 5, Fields of Mistria has cultivated a 'Very Positive' review score with over 450 reviews.
A humorous point of discussion that has arisen in Fields of Mistria's short lifespan surrounds a character called Olric. Olric is a former miner who helps out around the blacksmithy, owned by his younger brother March. A section of the game's burgeoning fanbase has become smitten with the "adorable" Olric and is already petitioning NPC Studio to make him romanceable.
Fields of Mistria does allow dating, similar to the system in Stardew Valley. However, Olric is not one of the game's 12 dating candidates. You can marry his standoffish brother March, though. According to Olric, March "isn't great with other people."
A post on Fields of Mistria's Steam forum is petitioning NPC Studio to make Olric a marriage candidate, and it currently has over 100 replies echoing this request. "They gave us a himbo but didn't allow us to smooch, please…" reads one of the replies.
Fields of Mistria is currently in early access, so NPC Studio will certainly be...
