The Nintendo Switch 2 has been on the market long enough for Nintendo’s latest hardware to start building out its own identity beyond the launch lineup, now with a brand-new version of itself. While much of the system’s first year has obviously centered around new Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games and upgraded versions of familiar releases, Nintendo has also continued to find ways to make the hardware itself part of the appeal.
Nintendo Switch 2 is also entering a particularly important stretch in its first year. The system is heading into the holiday season with a growing library of games, while Nintendo continues to use major anniversaries and established franchises to draw attention back to the hardware. That approach has already produced several notable Switch 2 announcements, one of which includes a new Nintendo Switch 2 console for collectors.
