Hideo Kojima has made plenty of upcoming games throughout his decades-long career, but the legendary developer isn't exactly planning to slow down. In fact, his next project, PHYSINT, sounds like it could be one of his most personal yet.
During a recent appearance on the TBS Radio podcast, Kojima shared several new details about the title, including its connection to the roots of the Metal Gear series, its growing cast, and what makes the project particularly meaningful to him.
And apparently, the legendary developer already knows exactly where this new adventure is going.
Kojima Already Has PHYSINT’s Story Ready
For starters, Hideo Kojima addressed one of the topics that has been making players most curious. While PHYSINT is not being presented as a new Metal Gear game, he confirmed that it will evoke the roots of the beloved stealth franchise while offering a different kind of spy action.
But he also wants the project to introduce plenty of new ideas rather than simply recreating what he has already done – because, after all, doing the same thing all over again doesn't sound very Kojima-like, and the project is being described as a new interactive experience that aims to explore...
