For many, mobile gaming has become a powerhouse segment of the industry that is becoming harder and harder to ignore. As the processing power of phones continues to increase, the quality of the games on them attempts to evolve to match. We've come a long way from match-3s and Pac-Man.

Marvel has been one of the most eager studios to toss mobile gamers a bone, and the reveal of an all new free to play open world RPG, Project COMET, is their next step. Starring a wide range of Marvel's most iconic heroes, Project COMET seems primed to deliver the multiplayer co-op action Marvel fans were hoping for from games like Square Enix's Avengers.

While single-player Marvel games have indisputably carved out their part of the gaming zeitgeist, it feels like the co-operative side of Marvel Games has fallen out of fashion. Entries that encourage team-ups exist, of course, Marvel Rivals recently reworked the entire game to include team-ups, and smaller titles like Marvel Cosmic Invasion did wonders, but both of these feel like burying the lede.
