Marvel is bringing back one of its most iconic villains from the MCU, and it's doing so in epic fashion. While the MCU has given us some truly memorable antagonists, no one really comes close to Thanos. He was, after all, the big bad guy that was teased for a decade before the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame. As Marvel fans look ahead to the release of Avengers: Doomsday this December, it's clear that Marvel isn't quite done with Thanos yet.
In the comics, villains rarely stay dead for very long. Even heroes who get killed off eventually return, no matter how often writers claim they're dead for real (cough, Jean Grey, cough). So, it's not necessarily surprising that Thanos is making a comeback in the Path to Doomsday.
