Steam users can claim a free key for the 2D platformer Spooky Cats through the latest Fanatical promotion. The game has around 85% positive reviews on Steam and is described as a cute puzzle platformer with just the right amount of dark humor.
Steam users looking for a game to play this Halloween should consider Spooky Cats for its eerie theme. The game follows a little cat trapped in a strange world. To get home, it must collect pennies and, as the developer hints, save a girl named Penny.
Steam currently offers a strategy game that users can claim and keep for free, but the deal differs slightly from the storefront's usual promotions.
Fanatical is currently hosting a Fall Sale, with the Spooky Cats promotion included in the event. Fans should note that the number of Steam keys is limited, and the offer works on a first come, first served basis. According to Fanatical, it will give away only 50,000 Steam keys for Spooky Cats, so the promotion could end before October 10 if the storefront runs out of keys.
