Hit Ubisoft Game Will Officially Be Unplayable From 2027

Ubisoft has a history of controversial game shutdowns, and another title is now set to join the others that have gone offline in the past. While it's fairly predictable that live-service mobile games will eventually reach their end of service, some have done so well before their fanbases had fully dissipated. Shutting down major releases like The Crew has proven to be even more disappointing, especially without any official Ubisoft solution to play the first game offline.

This time, it's a mobile game that's shutting down, but it's doing so surprisingly quickly. Rainbow Six Mobile didn't receive a proper worldwide launch until earlier in 2026, but it apparently won't make it to a full year of global release.

Today, the official Rainbow Six Mobile X account announced that the mobile shooter will be sunset on January 15, 2027, with the content season releasing next week serving as the final one.

Rainbow Six Mobile did beta tests in 2022 before launching in 2023 in a number of regions, and the game has featured 15 seasons in total across the course of its lifespan. Its full international release, however, was surprisingly short-lived, with the global launch only happening earlier this year...
