Every month, PlayStation Plus gives subscribers a fresh batch of games to add to their libraries across the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers, making the core monthly lineup one of the biggest reasons to keep an active subscription. Sony typically announces the selections ahead of time, giving PS5 and PS4 players a chance to see what they can claim and how much variety the service offers. However, not every subscriber necessarily gets the same selection, as evidenced by the PS Plus free games for October 2026.
As usual, PS Plus subscribers have three games to claim across the racing, extraction, and arcade-style action genres. Specifically, the line-up includes F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, with all three available to claim and keep as long as they are snagged by November 2. It's a solid mix of established franchises and gameplay styles, but some players are not getting Hunt: Showdown 1896.
Several PlayStation Plus tiers currently include one of the most acclaimed modern open-world RPGs around, packed with dozens of hours of content.
Some PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting a different free game this month, with Japan's October 2026...
