Gears of War series creator Cliff "CliffyB" Bleszinski shared some positive and candid thoughts about Gears of War: E-Day during a video interview. Though he was not involved in the development of Gears of War: E-Day, Bleszinski's contributions laid the foundation for the entire Gears of War franchise.
Bleszinski started his career as a game developer during his teenage years in the early 1990s. Shortly after joining Epic Games, Bleszinski went to work on games such as Jazz Jackrabbit and Unreal Tournament, with the latter being considered one of the most influential titles ever. Bleszinski later became the co-creator of Gears of War, where he was also the chief designer of the series' first three entries. Microsoft later acquired the rights to the Gears of War series in 2014, two years after Bleszinski left Epic Games.
