The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary celebrations are in full swing, with several new projects announced and released. It is an exciting time to be a Zelda fan, especially one with a great reverence for the older games, those that are either in dire need of an upgrade or simply need to be rescued from an antiquated platform no longer available for purchase (at least at a reasonable price). The best-known example of this is, of course, the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake. However, Nintendo does have a few more tricks left up its sleeve to surprise fans.

The announcement of a new Zelda remaster may have flown under the radar a little for some, especially as it was heavily overshadowed by the aforementioned gameplay reveal for Ocarina of Time's lavishly detailed remake. Yet, despite not being as profound an announcement, this remaster absolutely deserves your attention, especially if you're yearning for more Zelda content in your life. Offering fans everything they could have wanted and more, this major official remaster will almost certainly be worth picking up, even amongst all the other exciting upcoming Legend of Zelda projects.
