At New York Comic Con on Thursday, the cast of Final Fantasy VII Revelation took to the stage at the Javits Center to a packed audience. The panel for the third part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy introduced the cast, discussed voice roles, and shared behind-the-scenes footage. Entitled “One Last Ride: A Conversation with the English Voice Cast of Final Fantasy VII Revelation,” the panel included an announcement of a new cast member joining the game in a small yet memorable role.
Veteran voice actor Marisha Ray voices Shiva, a longtime Final Fantasy series summon. But in this case, it’s specifically the role of the polygonal Shiva that appears at the Gold Saucer.
In the previous title, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, this virtual Shiva did appear. She featured as one of the digital fighters in the 3D Brawler minigame. But she didn’t talk. This time, she’s back at the Gold Saucer with a new minigame. And she talks!
