There's no doubt that Pokémon's 30th anniversary has been a really special moment for the community as a whole. Not only do most gaming franchises never get anywhere near that kind of longevity, it has also served as an opportunity to celebrate everything that made the series great over the last three decades.
A big part of that push has come in the TCG, where The Pokémon Company released a special set commemorating some of the most popular cards over that time, as well as bringing plenty of new ones to the fore. Couple that in with the fact that the price of cards has come down significantly due to the manufacturer printing more than ever, and the hobby has quickly become considerably more affordable and accessible for those who buy singles to keep them for their collections.
All in all, it has been a huge win for the average Joe so far, and if you are looking to get involved on the fun before it goes away forever, the latest set has a couple of cards in particular that really stand out in a crowded field.
