Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has revealed its Year 1 DLC plans. Joining Phoenix Cyclops will be Jane Foster Thor, Jubilee, and Venom. However, this version of Thor might be different from what some players expect. Arc System Works is bringing Jane Foster’s Thor into the fight, though she’s not as new to the spotlight as some might think. She also appeared in the MCU’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
Spider-Man has another villain joining the roster in Venom, who is no stranger to fighting games. How he’ll play differently from Carnage will be something to watch, especially since Carnage already uses moves reminiscent of Venom’s Marvel vs. Capcom kit, including his tendril attack. Spider-Man’s corner of the Marvel universe probably has the most representation in this game, with Spider-Man himself, Carnage, Green Goblin, Peni Parker, and now Venom.
Jubilee is also coming to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, giving the X-Men some extra love in the Year 1 DLC lineup.
