Bungie's Unfinished Titles Will Be Transferred To Other PlayStation Studios

Destiny 2 developer Bungie is currently in a major state of flux. Hundreds more staff have recently been laid off, despite the company's CEO purchasing dozens of expensive cars, games have been "indefinitely shelved", and flagship title Destiny 2 is reportedly undergoing significant changes to its gameplay model.

Bungie has been egregiously mismanaged, and the C-suite should be paying the price instead of employees.

These changes have prompted Sony President, COO, and CFO Hiroki Totoki to speak out on the issues regarding the company it reportedly overpaid for.

During its recent investment meeting, Totoki was questioned on the ongoing restructuring at Bungie.

He shared that the purpose was "cost restructure and portfolio optimization," adding that "we have to enhance the efficiency of the business, so back-office functions should be integrated with the studio of SIE."

Regarding the studio's functions, Totoki said that resources will be concentrated on "Destiny 2 and new live service title Marathon," ensuring that "high quality and wonderful game experiences" will be created.
