Treyarch just dropped the first trailer for the return of round based Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, showing off the Pack-a-Punch, boat vehicle, new enemy types, perks, wonder weapons, and so much more.
One of the major highlights is the new wonder weapon, the Beamsmasher. It's described as an "experimental powerhouse with three unique damage types". In the trailer, we see the player firing a bright yellow beam with a strange jar housing an organic red component. We also got to see the Thrustodyne Aeronautics Model 23, returning from Black Ops 2, and the ever-iconic Ray Gun.
Black Ops 6 is also introducing something called Augments, a "reward upgrade system for your perks, ammo mods, and field upgrades" with over 100 to unlock at launch.
It wouldn't be a new Zombies without a new perk, in this case Melee Macchiato. It allows you to fist fight the undead masses by strengthening your unarmed attacks (it also upgrades your melee weapon slot, but throwing hands is more fun, right?) There's also the Mutant Injection power up which turns you into enemy monsters—in the new trailer, we see the player transform into a Panzersoldat.
