Final Fantasy 9 remains one of the most beloved entries in Square Enix's long-running RPG franchise, and more than 25 years after its original release, there's still plenty of demand for anything related to the game. Final Fantasy 9 returned to the series' fantasy roots after the more futuristic settings of its immediate predecessors. Since its release, it has maintained a dedicated following, with many fans still hoping Square Enix will eventually develop a Final Fantasy 9 remake.
