Xbox Fans Are Not Happy With The 2TB Series X Price

Microsoft's Xbox Series line of consoles are getting a refresh this holiday season in the form of three new SKUs. First off, there will be a "Robot White" Xbox Series S 1TB console, as well as the long-rumored digital-only Xbox Series X. Beyond that, the Xbox Series X will be getting a new limited-edition 2TB console dubbed the "Galaxy Black" edition.

The problem? It'll run gamers a cool $599.99. Naturally, Xbox fans aren't having it when it comes to the next console.

The last two generations of Xbox have been a whimper, and I'm finally ready to let it go.

Taking to Reddit, a couple hundred fans shared their thoughts on the upcoming console refresh. "Considering I paid 500€ for the base console back in 2020, an additional 150€ for one more TB of space and a new paintjob is .... not cheap," one gamer wrote.

Indeed, the Xbox Series X retails at $499 for 1TB of storage, meaning the extra $100 is simply for another TB of storage and a fresh coat of paint. This new galaxy black variant also has no reported hardware upgrades, meaning it's essentially a sparkly version of a Series X....
