We suppose that it had to happen someday, right? Tencent has announced that the beloved realtime strategy title Command & Conquer: Red Alert is being brought to mobile devices. To entice -- and believe me, that's stretching it -- folks with the news, the gaming conglomerate put out a trailer that does not include gameplay, but it does sport a number of military vehicles rumbling around while aircraft buzz through the skies. The coup de grace comes at the end when, as Digital Trends puts it, "a shadowy figure turn[s] around to address the player that appears to be the psychic Yuri".
Well...OK.
That aside, it appears that the trailer is being received with a lot of displeasure with the YouTube Likes / Dislikes heavily on the "dislike" side. In addition, ResetEra users are expressing their thoughts mostly through the use of memes and salty language. But there are those who are hopeful that the Android / iOS game won't go the same way that many do: Pay to win.
