Game Science's new boss rush soulslike Black Myth: Wukong is finally here, and it's already topping the Steam charts with a staggering 1.4 million players.
At the time of writing, it's the most played game on the platform, currently beating out giants like Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and PUBG: Battlegrounds. What's even more impressive is that it has the fourth-highest concurrent player count of all time, joining titans from across Steam's 21-year history in less than a day.
This also makes Black Myth: Wukong the number one single-player game on Steam.
It's the second game to reach the top ten this year alone, with Palworld taking second place. The full list looks like this:
What's especially impressive about this milestone is that the game only just came out, and already boasts 1.4 million players on a Tuesday morning.
We'll no doubt see that number rise as the weekend approaches. Today alone, as you can see from the above tweet, the game has shot from the sixth spot to the fourth for highest concurrent players, so it's already rapidly rising up the charts.
