When it comes to the world of sports video games, most of the more successful titles are based on real-life sports, often incorporating licensed teams and players to cater to fans wanting something more relatable. While some studios have attempted to incorporate fantasy elements into the sports genre, none have managed to break through into the mainstream, which makes this upcoming title particularly exciting.
Per the official PlayStation Blog, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is arriving on PlayStation Plus on September 3, making it a Day-One release for the subscription service. Unfortunately, this version of the game acts more like an extended demo as the PS Plus version allows users to play the game for 30 days at no extra charge but once that time's up, consumers will need to pay for it. That may not offer the same kind of value as Xbox Game Pass' Day-One releases, but it's still good to get a feel for whether the game would be a worthwhile purchase.
