Dune: Awakening just got another trailer as part of Gamescom's Opening Night Live. This gives us a better look at the MMO, showing off some of its gameplay mechanics and the unique setting.
Most importantly though, it confirms that the MMO will launch on PC in early 2025. The console release will come after this, although it has not been narrowed down just yet.
As well as narrowing down the release date, the latest Dune: Awakening preview gives us a look at combat and character creation. Naturally, we also see the sandworms in action, showing us how we'll encounter them in the MMO.
Dune: Awakening takes place in an alternate history in which Paul Atreides was never born, as Jessica and Leto have a daughter instead. While this will almost definitely change the political landscape of the setting, plenty of staples of Dune have already been seen in the trailers.
