Activision has announced that the PC and XBox One Blackout beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be ready to roll starting on September 14th. XBox One players who have pre-ordered the game will automatically have access to the Blackout beta for the duration of the test. In addition, PC pre-order customers will get a 24-hour head start (beginning September 14th) before the Battle.net open beta begins the next day.
Blackout features Activision's take on battle royale where players fight it out to the "last one standing". During the beta testing phase, players will be able to try out solo, duo and four-player options.
PlayStation 4 players will be able to try out Blackout earlier the same week as part of an "exclusive beta session".
