After nearly a decade, the Dead Rising series is back from the grave with the Deluxe Remaster, a confusingly named remake of the original game. Previews so far sing its praises, and it launches just next month on September 19. But what does the future of the series look like beyond this visit to the past?

In an interview with IGN, the development team revealed that "Capcom would like to continue to bring back many of its IPs," and that they have "hopes of expanding upon the Dead Rising series in the future" by ensuring that the Deluxe Remaster performs well.

So, if you're a fan who has been begging for eight years to see the series return, pick up the remake and your wish might finally come true.

In the same interview, we also got confirmation on who voices Frank West in the remake—Jas Patrick, who you may know as Partitio Yellowil from Octopath Traveler 2, Dynamike from Brawl Stars, and Thunder McQueen from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
