Concord Has Yet To Crack 1,000 Players On Steam

While it was presumed that Concord, Sony's newest live-service title, wouldn't hit the same highs as Helldivers 2 did earlier this year, no one could have expected this outcome. Concord, which officially launched today as a simultaneous release on both PS5 and PC via Steam, has yet to hit 1,000 concurrent players on Steam.

That bit of info comes via SteamDB, a website dedicated to tracking all things related to Steam, including player counts and all-time peaks, among other figures. Per SteamDB, as of the time of writing, only 617 players are currently playing Concord. The all-time peak isn't much better, either.

Concord deserves time to improve.

So far, Concord has peaked at 697 players. Those numbers aren't enough to even make a dent in the website's interactive chart.

For reference, Helldivers 2 reached a peak of 458,709 players, no small number. Even a game as maligned as Redfall was able to manage a peak of 6,124 players.

Of course, that figure could certainly rise as more and more people begin their weekends, or when the game eventually goes on sale. Still, it isn't the greatest start for what is supposed to be...
