Lies of P was one of 2023's biggest surprises. The Pinocchio-themed Soulslike, developed by Neowiz, ticked all the boxes for long-time fans of the genre with its visceral combat, challenging difficulty, and unique setting and enemy design.

Lies of P is a beautifully gritty retelling of Pinocchio for the Dark Souls era.

For those who completed the game, the developers were kind enough to tease what we might expect from the sequel, and now, a new job listing has given us even more of an indication as to what's coming next from the studio.

Upon completion and after the credits, players were treated to a stinger in which a character named Paracelsus is sat on a train, taking a phone call from an unknown female. He states, "When I return, I will find her. For sure," before pausing and saying, "Dorothy." The scene cuts to Lies of P's Krat, in which a character, presumably Dorothy, is seen walking along a rooftop in red shoes, which they tap together three times — much like in The Wizard of Oz.
