Rubbing salt in the wounds of Xbox enthusiasts, a Chinese modder is now claiming that they have Black Myth: Wukong running on an Android mobile.
In a further attempt to back their claim, they even posted a video on Bilibili, a popular social media platform in China, of the game running on a smartphone.
Boasting an Adreno 750 chip, which comes under Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 GPU, the game averaged between 11–13 FPS, with a maximum of 20 FPS in its brightest moments.
While the performance of Black Myth: Wukong allegedly running on a smartphone is less than impressive, it remains a wonder how the modder was able to get it to work in the first place. Microsoft could potentially also hire them to finally deliver Xbox players the potential Game of the Year 2024 winner.
The claim of running the game on an Android device remains unverified for now. However, the possibility of playing Black Myth: Wukong on the go is undeniably tempting, and could ultimately help in bringing the game to handheld devices like Nintendo Switch if the video turns out to be real.
