Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Players Have Been Asked To Start Over By Ubisoft

Star Wars Outlaws is currently available for players who pre-ordered the game, ahead of a full worldwide release on August 30. However, early access may not have been the boon that people might've thought as PlayStation 5 players have now been asked to erase their progress and start over by publisher Ubisoft.

On PlayStation 5, a new patch (1.000.002) was deployed and accompanying the rollout was an email from Ubisoft to owners of the Star Wars Outlaws. The email begins by asking players to ensure they are playing on the latest version, but the ending of the email has proved controversial among early-access players.

"To best experience the Outer Rim, we rolled out a maintenance to make sure everyone is playing the latest version of the game. As one of the players affected who had access to an older version of the game, we are aware you might be encountering some issues after the recent patch.
