Croc: Legend Of The Gobbos Is Finally Getting Remastered Later This Year

One of the PS1's best platformers, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, is finally getting a remaster later this year alongside the return of the studio responsible for creating him - Argonaut Games.

Although the mascot platformer genre is full of recognisable icons and household names like Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Banjo-Kazooie, and Ratchet & Clank, it's also home to a ton of unsung and underappreciated heroes. Blinx, Vex, Scaler, Gex... the list goes on. While Buby absolutely got what he deserved, the same can't be said of Croc.

Astro Bot looks great, but why not bring back some dormant Sony mascots, too?

Although Croc only appeared in two games on the PS1, both titles were absolute classics that sold well and shone a bright future for the green little guy to take his place among the genre's greats. That isn't what ended up happening, though, as Croc faded into obscurity following the closure of Argonaut Games in 2007.
