Konami has dropped a very obvious hint that all but confirms Metal Gear Solid 4 will be getting an HD port as part of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
Although Metal Gear Solid has spent most of the last decade being a little too stealthy, that's all started to change over the last few years. Not only do we have a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 coming at some point in the next year, but we also received a new HD collection of the first three Metal Gear Solid games, titled the Master Collection Vol. 1.
Guns of the Patriots will be leaving behind its PS3 exclusivity for the first time ever, and I hope it's done justice.
The inclusion of that little "volume one" made it clear that Konami was planning on re-releasing more Metal Gear Solid games after the first collection was done and dusted. Leaks and datamines suggested that one of the games included in the second volume would be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which is a big deal considering it's never been released outside of the PS3.
