A sketch of the PlayStation 5 Pro has leaked online, hinting that Sony's upcoming console might forgo a disc drive altogether.
Although Sony hasn't officially announced the PS5 Pro, it's widely expected that the next, more powerful version of the PS5 will carry that name.
With the expected beefed-up specs, it appears the console might sacrifice physical media support, according to reliable leaker billbil_kun.
The leaker first hinted that a new version of familiar hardware would be revealed soon. As predicted, this turned out to be the PS5 Pro. On Dealabs, billbil_kun shared a sketch of what the PS5 Pro might look like.
This sketch strongly suggests the console won’t come with a built-in disc drive — though the leaker did note that the information isn't confirmed yet.
PS5 Pro Could be Digital-Only
The leaker also mentioned that Sony will indeed call this new version the PS5 Pro. It's possible that the sketch represents a digital-only version of the console.
