The recently released Black Myth: Wukong title by the Chinese studio Game Science has taken the gaming industry by storm. However, it leaves Xbox players to hang out and dry as the game remains exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation 5 for an interim period.
This has also led to many rumors floating around among the players, with a few theorizing Microsoft might have been a victim of an under-the-table deal Game Science might have struck with Sony.
Addressing this exact rumor, Jeff Grubb, a renowned industry insider, shared his two cents on the matter in his recent episode of Game Mess Decides podcast.
Mentioning how Sony would have been boasting about an exclusivity deal if it were to be true, Grubb denied any possibility of a deal between Game Science and the popular publisher.
Furthermore, he also accounted for the possibility that Sony might have provided value, or could have helped the studio on a more direct levelwhen it came to launching Black Myth: Wukong, making Game Science focus more on the PlayStation release rather than dedicating resources equally to both platforms.
