As great as Chuck Greene and Nick Ramos are, the Dead Rising series' best protagonist is without a doubt the one who started it all - Frank West. There's a reason Capcom has revisited everyone's favourite photographer multiple times, and things are about to come full circle with the upcoming release of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, a remake of the original game.
Dead Rising is finally back and the Deluxe Remaster is shaping up to be the best way to play the series, even if it does make things a little easier.
It's in that first game where Frank West spouts a line that would go on to become a catchphrase of sorts - "I've covered wars y'know". That phrase was nonchalantly said when Jessie suggested he can't take care of himself, but it clicked with fans so much over the years that it's now a Dead Rising staple.
