Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is reportedly working on a new video game set in Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe.
Fans of Batman games have long awaited a title that lets them step into the shoes of the Caped Crusader, and it seems their wish might soon be granted.
This information comes from a report by the film industry news site Puck, highlighted by ChiefLee22 on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit (via The Gamer).
The report goes into the current situation at Warner Bros. Discovery, where CEO David Zaslav is considering selling off some assets following the company's recent stock drop.
AT&T originally intended to sell Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for $4 billion. However, the deal was scrapped because the gaming division was deemed too valuable.
Zaslav was then assigned the task of offloading the gaming side of the company. But, he ultimately chose to keep it within the fold.
The report further mentions that various Warner Bros. Discovery teams are collaborating on different projects. Among these are "the upcoming Penguin HBO show and game, both rooted in the 2022 The Batman movie."
