It seems Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is on track to set a new world record in the gaming industry, one currently held by Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3.

A senior official from Warhorse Studios, the creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, has revealed that the game is poised to have the longest script of any video game ever.

Daniel Vávra, the creative director at Warhorse Studios, shared on X/Twitter on August 29 (via Game Rant) that the script for the upcoming RPG has reached approximately 2.2 million words.

This impressive word count is equivalent to about 25 novels or 100 two-hour movie screenplays, according to Vávra.

With these numbers, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is set to claim the Guinness World Record for the longest video game script, surpassing the current record held by Baldur’s Gate 3. which is at around 2 million words.

A Lengthy Story To Tell

However, it's important to note that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is still in development. During the writing process, it’s not unusual for many sections to be cut, which could impact the final word count.
