Black Ops 6 Ditches Fan-Requested Theater Mode On Last-Gen Consoles

A highly requested feature returning to Black Ops 6 won't be on last-generation consoles. According to an official post on the Call of Duty blog, Theater Mode, which will be making its return in this year's iteration of the first-person shooter franchise, won't be on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.

Nearly four years after the PS5 launched, the PS4 is still perfectly fine in a pinch.

The following is what Activision had to say regarding the fan-requested mode:

Theater Mode: Though not available in the Beta, the Multiplayer experience of Black Ops 6 brings a fully featured Theater Mode at launch, allowing you a robust suite of viewing options, including the ability to watch, pause, slow down, speed up, and play back your previous gameplay, including the ability to take screenshots. Note that Theater Mode is not available on previous-generation consoles (PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One).
