Star Wars Outlaws' lead gameplay designer has explained why Kay Vess can't freely shoot from her speeder, noting that it wasn't an "easy choice".
It's been a few days since Star Wars Outlaws launched and, while the reception from fans has mostly been positive so far, there are a few key complaints that have been made towards it, such as the high focus on stealth and relatively short campaign. One of the biggest, though, is Kay's inability to shoot while riding her speeder bike.

You spend a lot of time on the speeder in Star Wars Outlaws, and most of that time will see you speeding away from Imps and other baddies out to get you. Despite having a blaster at all times, Kay strangely can't shoot from it without using the limited Adrenaline Rush takedown move, which takes a while to recharge and isn't super reliable because of it.
