Konami and developer Far Out Games have announced Deliver At All Costs, a "thrilling action game" based around delivering "highly unconventional cargo" in a wacky late-1950s world.
In its announcement post, Far Out Games describes Deliver At All Costs as taking place in a world ruled by rock'n'roll, polka dot fashion, and "the fear of nuclear apocalypse". How delightful.
It's this world you'll be exploring as Winston Green, a courier with the requisite "shady past" all noir-adjacent protagonists need. You'll be delivering packages in a destructible world, driving a variety of different vehicles, and undertaking "bizarre and perilous deliveries".
Deliveries range from "a giant flailing marlin" through to disposing of an atomic bomb "teetering on the edge of explosion", so it's safe to say you won't just be ferrying mundane packages around in Deliver At All Costs' world.
While the world will be chaotic and reactive, Deliver At All Costs does also have a story, and it's one of "mystery and intrigue", according to the devs. You'll meet a cast of "distinct and memorable characters" and watch Winston spiral down into insanity, which feels like an appropriate response to the 1950s.
